Challenge 10

This year I did 33 post and none of those got a comment. All but one was for school and the one that wasn't for school was my own interest. None of my post got any comments; I think that was because no one wanted to read my posts and if they did read it that just thought it wasn't that good and I really don't disagree with that. The post that was my favorite was the post "If you could go anywhere where would you go?" I liked this one because it let me think about all the places in the world and made me think of which one I thought was most interesting. But, of course I know right away which one I wanted to go to because I thought alot about Ireland and how my friends and I are going to go there someday. I changed my themes because of the things that we had to write about. I have 10 widgets, I think. If I counted the right thing anyway. I think this would be enough for me because I know how to use these. Adding more would most likely confuse me. But, for people that know what they are doing the more the marrier. As always the reason for this blog topic is because of this website.

Challenge 9; How teens use their cell phones

Only 25% of teens don't have cell phones. That's not a lot compaired to the other 75% that do have cell phones. But, back in 2004 only 45% had cell phones. It's save to say that cell phones have become more popular over the last six years. About 72% of teens text-messagers and out of thoses 33% send more then 100 texts a day! I have a friend that would fit this percent. But, one of the more interesting number of texting is one in three teens text while driving. Teens if they have them use their cell phones everyday. Now all teens need to do is learn when and where to use their cell phones. By the way I got this challenge from this website.

The five blogs I think you should vist is Aashley's , Nikki's , Bryon's , marksblog and Megan's. The reason I think you should vist theses blogs is because they all have their own way of writing and sometimes they have really good points. For example Aashley writes really good and she has a way of making you think about things. Nikki brings up very good points on how to handle things. In her post she makes you think about the topic and really makes you care about issues. Bryon writes a lot so you get more information about different things. Marksblog last post was about history and I think that it's important to read different opinions about topics like that. Megan wrote about facebook and my space. She wrote about the issues with facebook and my space and how if your not careful then it could turn out bad for you in the future. So these are the blogs I think you should check out. I got this blogging change from this website.

Challenge 5; creative commons license

I think that a creative commons license would be a good idea for a blog. But, I don't think I would need one for my blog because o one reads my blog. The good part about have one is the fact that you have control over what people do with your information. So, you can stop people from using your work in ways you do not like. If you don't have one of the creative commons license then you don't have any say to what people do with your work. If you don't have I think it's a good idea to get one. The reason that it is world water day is because a long time ago someone brought up that 1.1billion people had unsafe drinking water. They have this day so people know what water is safe and what water isn't. Something I could do to help out the Earth is I could stop buying plastic water bottles. Think of something you could do?

I think kids should only use pictures of themselfs on the internet only when they are sending them in an e-mail and you know the person their sending it to. The only thing that I can say if your putting photos on the internet is know it will be on therer forever.

Things that people can do in North-East Wisconsin is you can go to the Zoo, in Seymour you can go to a museum and learn about the history. You can go to a cheese factory and learn how cheese is made in Wisconsin. There are more places but that is all I can think of at this time.

Writing

Now that I've been writing more I think I have grown better as a writer. I've written more then I have in any other class. The difficulties I face are spelling and using richer worlds in my stories. I think my writing has improved from pasted years. I'm good at telling all the sides of the story. I just really struggle with my writing.

What Country Would I Like To Talk With?

The country that I would like to talk with would have to be Ireland. The reason that I would like to talk to someone from Ireland is because I think that Ireland is really cool, with the different landmarks and the history that goes with it. What I all ready know about Ireland is everything that I saw on t.v and that was only one part of Ireland. One question that I would ask someone from Ireland is, is it as beautiful as it is on t.v? That is why I would pick Ireland.

What's On My Mind!

What's on my mind right now is home. I can't wait to get home because this week has been going by so slow. Even thou we have two more days until the weekend; I still can't wait to get home. When I'm at home the world just seem good. I don't have to listen to anyone until I have to go out to the barn but, still it's good. Going out to the barn isn't bad; I really like going out to the barn it helps me think about things that don't seem important and their really not but it's still fun to think about. When I do go out to the barn I normally milk cows, feed calves, feed the horse and other stuff. But my favorite thing to do is feed and water the pot belly pigs. They are so cute. They are black and white and one is full grown and the other two are almost but not all the way. When I go out they are one of the first things I feed and water because the just make my day. Even the when we first got them I really didn't care for them, now I don't think I could live without them. All the animals that we have I don't think I could live without just because they all have a way of being different. When I think about it they are kinda part of the family in some ways. Well I don't know but I think That when I older I will really miss the farm and all the animals. But that won't be for a long time some I guess I don't have to worry about it now.

Goals

The goals that I have for the end of the semester is to pass with my low grade a C. If I pass all my classes with higher then a C I will be happy. And the goals that I have for next semester is to pass with higher grades then this semester. Other then those goals I don't really have any.

What I did over break.

Two things that I did over break is one I spend time with my family. The other thing that I did was I watched movies. It was a fun break and I didn't miss school at all.

Sun Parlor

The sun parlor is peaceful and coming to peace with other and forgiving. It a really cool story. The main point of the story is about how people think material things are worth more then human beings. The mom in the story understands that having a beautiful house is not as imporant then her kids having fun in the house. West, the main person in the stroy forgets that the sun parlor is just a room and doesn't want her little sister, Sis, to play in the sun parlor. Later on thou after her mom dies she asks her sister if she ever when in there and if she would forgive her. But, before her sister could answer West says she doesn't want to know; but her sister smiles so you can tell that her sister forgives her and that they both found peace. That is why it is a forgiving story and a story about coming to rest with past things in your life.

Erik Weihenmayer

Erik Weihenmayer is blind but, he also climb to the top of Mt. Everest. For mean he is an inspiration. Just for the simple fact that when people said he couldn't do something and it wasn't normal for people to do what he did he did it anyway. When people do things that really mean something to them and when they try really hard to do it that is what makes people wroth remembering.

The Person Who Inspires Me

The person that inspires me is my dad. The reason that my dad inspires me is because he trys hard at everthing he does. Another thing is he hardly ever gets mad, he trys really hard to keep a postive addtude. He does so many things for people and he really cares. He aways helps when he can and he never lets things get the best of him. My dad inspires me to try my best because I know that if I'm half the person he is then I'm doing pretty good.

If you had one day to do over what day would it be or would you not redo a day over? If I had one day to do over it would be one day when I was in 6th grade. The reason I would do it over is because I said somethings that I should not have to my parents. My parents did forgave me but it take along time. That is the day I would do over what day would it be for you.

Digital Footprint

A digital footprint is when you go online and do things it stays there. When i looked up my name all it did was show other people with the same name. I really don't have a digital footprint. The main idea behind knowing your digital footprint is so you understand that the stuff that you put out there stays there. If you talk about people that stays out there and they could find it. And you could get in trouble for the stuff you put out there. I know this and i know that it's a good thing that I cann't find my digital footprint because that means that I don't have a big footprint.

Where Would I Go!

One of the places I would go to is Switzerland. The reason I would go to Switzerland is because I have never been there and in pictures it looks like it would be like a cool place to visit. I would like to learn about it and see what it really looks like instead of just looking at pictures. Because i wanted to know what it would cost me I chose to plan a trip their, it would cost me a total of 3783 dollars. That would include one plane ticket, one hotel room and a car. I would have to go to France and then from France to Switzerland. It's fun to see what it would cost and make plans to go, but i don't think i will ever go because it costs 3783 dollars that I don't have. So maybe I will in the future, but it would be a lot more money by then.

My Favourite Trip!

My favourite holiday was when I in fourth grade. My family and I went to House on the Rock and a cave. I forget the name of the cave. I was really cool to see all the different thing in the house. I remember That there was this long hallway that had glass windows for sides, I was so scared to go across it that my dad had to help me across. The cave was really cool to because i didn't see so many crystals in my life. I learned a lot about the cave and that was really cool. I hope to go back to those places sometime because I only remember somethings and it would be cool to know more things.

My Fantasy Holiday!!

My fantasy holiday would be a movie holiday. It would be were you just sat and watched all the good movies from all different times. The reason that would be my fantasy holiday is because I lover watching movies from all the different times. It's fun to look back and see how different movies are made.

Climate Change

As part of the student blogging challenge, I wrote a post for BAD 2009 on the topic of clamiate change. (http://www.blogactionday.org/) The climate is changing and we know that because the earth has warmed up 1degree f over the last hundred years. We may not know exactly know why it is but, scientists think it is because of human activity. The human activity includes things like burning fossil fuels, wasting electricity and other things. The reason that these things are bad is because they release carbon dioxide into the air. Once the carbon dioxide is in the air that get trapped and it sits there.
And that involves the green house effect. The green house effected is when more heat is being trapped which cause the plant to became warmer. The weather patterns change because of the warming. Another thing that is causing this problem is the Ozone layer. Since there are holes forming in it, it causes more of the ultraviolet rays to come in and harm us and the plant. The rays help warm up the plant and that effect the plant and its weather patterns. So the snow will fall sooner in some places and later in others. And other places are warming up and others are cooling down. Thing that we can do to help are burn less fossil fuels, conserve energy and many more things. The plant is changing and we need to learn how to slow it down so it can be here for more people to come. I learn some of these facts from http://www.clean-air-kids.org.uk/globalwarming.html.

An Open Field

This picture of an open field reminds me of summer when you have no cares in the world. I love when i can just walk in a open field and think about nothing. It reminds me that the world is good and that there are better days to come. And it is the only really time i have to think by myself.

Soccer!

One of my favortite interests is soccer. I play soccer over the summer, school year and in the winter. In the winter I play indoor, not in the snow. I also like watching soccer sometime, but it's more fun to play soccer. If you want to see soccer scores from all over you can vist www.goals365.com. In the summer I play TASK soccer. My dad is my coach so sometimes it is really fun. Other times it really sucks, because he tells me what I did wrong and he will tell me more then once. It doesn't even matter if we won or not. I love playing soccer and because of it I love learning everything about it (mostly everything).

Homecoming Week

Homecoming week is fun. You can dress up and do things at lunch. But, my favorite part of the whole week is seeing people dress up in crazy clothes and act funny. Friday is the best day of the homecoming week because I get to hang out with my friends most of the day because classes are short. So that's what i like most about homecoming.
